The French border (1
hour 30 mins)
Leave the A7 motorway at Junction 6 (Girona N., Celra, La Bisbal, Palafrugell,
Palamos (toll approx. € 4) and follow signs to Palamos (C65). Once through
Palafrugell look out for a slip road (after the 'Champion' supermarket) to
Palamos, la Fosca & Port. Continue over the fly-over and at the roundabout
take the second exit to La Fosca. Follow this for 200m and look out for the
Camping Kings entrance, where you will find Camping las Piñas.
Girona airport (45
minutes)
Follow directions to Ruidellots de la Selva and then to Sant Feliu & Palamos
(C25 changing to C35). At Santa Christina d'Aro the road changes (C65) but
still follow signs for Palamos. Leave at the second Palamos junction heading
for Palamos North, La Fosca & Port. At the roundabout take the second exit
to La Fosca. Follow this for 200m and look out for the Camping Kings entrance,
where you will find John and Rita Watkins (CLP) Camping las Piñas.
By taxi - please
advise details of your arrival and we will make arrangements for your collection.
The cost will be about € 50 for 4 adults, and for larger parties a mini
bus is approx. € 75.
Barcelona - by train
(allow nearly 2 hours)
From terminal 'A' follow signs to the railway station where you need to buy
a ticket (about € 6 pesetas) to Caldes de Malavella - "quisiera un billete(s)
de ida a Caldes de Malavella por favor." After 30 minutes, you'll need to
change at Barcelona Sans (or Sants). Take escalator into the main terminal
and head for the 'information desk' - (bearing right past the seating area
and then left through the next opening) - to check the platform number for
the train to Caldes de Malavella. The journey is about an hour and upon leaving
the station look for a coach to Palamos from where you can get a taxi to the
campsite. If you let us know we can arrange to collect you from the station.
Barcelona - driving
(allow 90 minutes)
follow signs to A7 - Girona. Leave at Junction 9A - Sant Feliu & Lloret de
Mar (toll about € 4). Carry on to Saint Feliu/Palamos (C35 changing
to C65). In Palamos, leave at the second junction heading for Palamos North,
La Fosca & Port. At the roundabout take the second exit to La Fosca. Follow
this for 200m and look out for the Camping Kings entrance, where you will
find John and Rita Watkins (CLP) Camping las Piñas.
